Rimowa began in 1898 as a trunk manufacturing factory in Cologne, Germany.
Rimowa started out as a wooden case, but in 1937 it produced its first aluminum trunk.
Since then, in 1950, Rimowa's signature groove pattern has been engraved, and with its various technical capabilities, it has become popular among various professions that travel.
